- 4+ years of experience in a highly analytical, modeling-intensive role such as strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or consulting
- At least 2 years of work experience in strategic finance or an otherwise comparable role in a fast-paced environment with experience building and owning complex, driver-based financial models and forecasting key business metrics
- Proven ability to synthesize large datasets into clear insights and actionable recommendations that drive business decisions
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and modeling best practices as well as strong analytical skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) is a plus
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses into clear, structured narratives for cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, or similar teams in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in technology, healthcare, and/or consumer marketplaces is a plus
What the job involves
- We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Strategic Finance Senior Associate to join our high performing team
- In this role, you will own and evolve driver-based models that forecast bookings, incorporating key business drivers and product initiatives
- You will partner closely with Product, Marketing, and senior leadership to translate complex data into actionable insights, identify emerging trends, and inform high-impact strategic decisions
- This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how we understand and forecast growth at Zocdoc and play a critical role in driving financial performance and long-term success of Zocdoc
- Own and evolve driver-based forecasting models for bookings, translating inputs across product, marketing, and customer behavior into scalable financial models that accurately project new and repeat bookings and inform planning decisions
- Build frameworks to incorporate new data sources and evolving business dynamics into forecasts, including product launches and new channel investments
- Partner closely with Product, Marketing, and Finance to incorporate roadmap changes, channel performance, and emerging trends into forecasts and planning
- Analyze performance against forecasts and targets, identifying key drivers of variance and translating insights into actionable recommendations
- Synthesize large and complex datasets to uncover trends, improve forecast accuracy, and inform strategic decision-making
- Support business planning and investment decisions by evaluating growth drivers, unit economics, and key strategic initiatives
- Prepare clear, concise materials for senior leadership and the Board that translate complex analyses into actionable insights
- Lead ad hoc analyses and cross-functional projects to support high-priority business questions and initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve forecasting methodologies, modeling approaches, and financial processes to increase accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
