Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a generalist capacity
- Must have experience in talent acquisition or recruiting
- SHRM-CP or PHR is nice to have, but not required
- You know your stuff – you have good foundational HR experience, and you are a continuous learner; but more importantly, you know when to pull in the perspectives of the broader team
- You have natural curiosity and keeping status quo is your worst nightmare; you are motivated by challenges

What the job involves
- As an empowered member of our Global HR team, the HR Generalist for the Americas region will play an important role in supporting all things people and culture.
- You will partner across the HR team on various stages of the employee lifecycle from talent acquisition, talent management, performance management, onboarding/offboarding, and business-driven initiatives
- You’ll be a promotor of OPSWAT’s culture and values working with stakeholders to create an environment that attracts, enables, and retains the best
- Talent Acquisition - half of your time will be spent assisting with talent acquisition: posting positions, conducting phone screens, scheduling interviews for hiring managers and other team members
- Provide support to employees and leaders in the business on coaching on performance management, accommodations, business conduct, policies, and other HR-related topics
- Help build HR infrastructure by establishing HR policies and procedures
- Manage new hire onboarding and support the creation of a positive onboarding experience
- Support effective employee offboarding
- Assist Senior Manager, HR with employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, workplace investigations, documentation related to disciplinary actions, and terminations
- Support site GM with all HR and Culture initiatives, including compensation, disciplinary actions, identifying staffing needs, and planning and executing team building activities
- Maintain a pulse on our people through various employee journey touchpoints (i.e. new-hire discussions, HR Connects, exit interviews)
- Identify and surface trends in both qualitative and quantitative data to enhance overall employee and manager experience
- Assist in the creation and facilitation of manager training
- Maintain and manage data entry and documentation in HRIS
- Draft employee letters and communications
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements
- Champion all HR programs and initiatives
