Role
Who you are
- Effective communication, collaboration and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of TypeScript and JavaScript
- Strong understanding of cloud-based application architecture and stack, preferably including AWS
- Good understanding of Docker and experience with CI/CD tooling
- Good understanding of security and observability best practices and tooling
Desirable
- Experience building and maintaining high-traffic server-side web applications
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience of working in a fast-paced product-focussed environment
- Good understanding of other programming languages such as Java, C#, C++, Rust, Go or Python
- Experience in healthcare or finance domains
- Experience in building front-end web applications using React
What the job involves
- We are looking to hire a senior back-end engineer to our Engineering team
- These roles are critical to expanding our engineering capabilities to deliver valuable product functionalities that our customers want
- Collaborate with and lead engineers in building and supporting solutions
- Collaborate with functions including Product, Design, Operation and Growth in understanding and prioritising customer-facing and internal problems that deliver value to Practi
- Build and support easily extensible low-maintenance engineering solutions
- Mentor engineers
- Contribute to fostering a healthy and productive work environment, promoting a culture of innovation
