Our take
Participation in the crypto space, both from institutions and individuals, has snowballed in recent years. What hasn’t kept pace, though, is the quality and accessibility of research and analysis tools. Messari has stepped in to fill that breach, providing tools and market intelligence for professionals, builders and communities looking to confidently navigate web 3.0.
In 2022, Messari launched a platform facilitating engagement in various crypto DAOs, just as these collectives began to slide into the mainstream spotlight. Historically, DAOs have proven logistically or conceptually complex to engage with, so Messari's approach represents an important steps in democratizing access.
The company has invested in the rapid expansion of its engineering and research teams in order to stay ahead in the sector. Investor support, alongside a client list that includes key players, has also granted it a formidable foothold in the space. In 2026, the company was acquired by fellow crypto data platform Blockworks, which will see the formation of a two-sided platform connecting both halves of onchain capital markets.
