Who you are
- 3+ years of experience working in product tech teams
- Write well-structured and high-quality code that’s easily maintainable by others.
- Good English communication skills in word and speech and the ability to work well with others in a team
- Self-driven and capable of working with minimal supervision.
What the job involves
- Be a hands-on product engineer, using our state-of-the-art tech stack to solve real user problems that will positively impact the sustainability of our climate
- Make architecture decisions as a key member of our engineering team and participate in discussions on how to maintain and improve our micro-service architecture
- Work closely with senior engineers to identify and mitigate dech debt
Application process
- The process follows the same procedure for every candidate: getting to know team members through three to four conversations about Cozero, your experience, and your interests
- As part of the process, we usually run through a skills screening (e.g. a coding challenge for a developer, a case challenge for a carbon accounting expert, and a portfolio discussion for a designer)
- A final reference call with a former colleague/manager of yours gives additional insight into your needs and wishes that we aim to factor in for your personal development plan. We emphasize transparency and the absence of surprise throughout the process
Our take
Conflicts in the 2020s and climate change are challenging energy companies, leading to an unprecedented demand for more commitment to renewable raw materials from all stakeholders. For companies, this means it is now no longer a luxury to save CO2 emissions where possible.
Cozero is a software company that creates products to fit that need. The startup was founded to enable companies to effectively decarbonise and it differentiates itself from competitors by framing these CO2 savings in the language of business - each measure details CO2 saved per Euro invested.
