Role
Who you are
- 3+ years’ experience in customer operations across Onboarding/Support and Success working with a portfolio of Enterprise customers (>1000 users) within a B2B SaaS business
- Enthusiastic about joining a rapidly growing tech startup, with previous experience of building out customer operations in a similar context, demonstrating pace and adaptability
- Experience building and maintaining relationships whilst working to mitigate churn, drive adoption and renewals
- Analytical Rigour (if you cannot measure it, you cannot improve it): data-driven approach to identifying and solving problems, comfortable visualising and presenting data
- Context-shifting and prioritisation are key skills: you'll happily jump in to sort out a customer issue and be equally comfortable preparing analysis and recommendations to senior execs on the future of your functional areas
- Excellent interpersonal skills: the ability to build strong relationships and rapport with existing customers and colleagues
- Authentic, confident and articulate, with excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to deliver ideas clearly and concisely to internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority
- Self-starter: eager to learn and thrive in a high-functioning team environment
- You'll be familiar with resource planning and experienced in hiring a team at the right moment to support our growth
What the job involves
- Establish and run our customer functions from the ground up
- Oversee the customer journey from signed contract, encompassing integration, onboarding, customer support and success
- Drive customer growth and retention by developing best practices to ensure ongoing success
- Confidently take command of our customer pipeline, successfully prioritising needs and targeting efforts to deliver the greatest impact
- Maintain focus on short-term impact, while also keeping an eye on the big picture - developing functional maturity, implementing policies and procedures and planning ahead to ensure we're ready for each new stage of growth
- Understand the customer journey, identify pain points and bottlenecks and find innovative ways to improve the customer’s overall experience, minimising churn
- Develop a set of OKRs and KPIs that focus attention on the critical success factors for customer operations
- Become a product expert and educate the customer and end-users about the power and benefits of our product
- Be the voice of the customer and feed this back to the business
Our take
Generating income as an SaaS depends on subscription and payment processing fees, but adding such financial features to digital products can take weeks. Expensive software engineers who specialise in fintech must be employed if the job is to be achieved quicker, and that is before further obstacles are raised such as compliance and API integration.
Monite provides a fully embeddable API suite of fintech tools, allowing SaaS clients to add accounts payable automation, invoicing, and other brandable financial services to their digital products. The company's services are designed to be fully compliant automatically and are available as both an embeddable solution and as a white-label product.
Whilst it is undeniable that other companies provide similar services to Monite, the company has recognised the importance of speed - facilitating rapid development through its API. The company ultimately aims to use this advantage to bring financial automation and other cutting-edge fintech tools to smaller SaaS businesses, and funds raised will help it steer towards that goal by closing more deals - with a focus on the US - and continuing to develop its offerings.
