Role
Who you are
- BS or MS in EE, CS, Math or any other technical area that includes applied programming
- 3+ years of experience in a variety of professional settings, ideally both large company and startup
- Experience with embedded systems coding and debugging
- Experience with Linux development and software deployment
- Experience deploying and maintaining Python and/or C/C++ packages
Desirable
- Experience with deep learning frameworks, hardware, applications
- Experience with development and deployment of vision-based systems
- Linux systems application development and debugging
- ML, statistics, HPC background
- Customer-facing experience as Sales or Solution Engineering experience in hardware, software or both
What the job involves
- Solutions engineers work closely with Mythic's business development, product, deep learning applications, and engineering teams to help our customers bring high-performance neural network AI solutions to market on Mythic hardware
- They are responsible for working with Mythic's engineering teams to quickly build and deploy our product. They work closely with customers to ensure their success
- Work hands on with Mythic's engineering teams, toolchain and hardware to build and deploy Mythic products for customers
- Serve as Mythic's primary interface to customers - defining requirements, timelines and deliverables, prototyping proof-of-concept solutions, and responding to customer requests and support needs
- Build scalable, metrics-driven internal processes to drive customer engagement, success, and efficiency
- Provide critical feedback, reviews and bug reports to engineering teams
- Work with Mythic business development, product and engineering teams on critical customer demonstrations, presentations and marketing collateral
- Engage with customers at trade shows, visits and online, including writing blog posts, building and maintaining forums and meet-ups
Our take
Mythic is a startup making artificial intelligence chips for use in gadgets such as smart home devices or security cameras. The enthusiasm for chip startups is a result of a need by companies using AI software. Silicon Valley venture capitalists are responding by pouring money into the semiconductor industry, enticed by a new generation of AI chips like Mythics to challenge industry giants Intel and Nvidia.
To avoid the book sized chips which burn 100 watts and cost $4000, Mythic uses analog circuits rather than digital to create its processor, with easier memory integration and device operation and using 10 times less power. Driving costs and production times down and making their product an attractive choice for companies using AI software.
With a recent $70million funding round Mythic can begin the mass production of their chips and development of the next generation of hardware and software products.
