Role
Who you are
- A self-starter who is proactive, hands-on, curious, and motivated. You want to go the extra mile. You get the job done!
- 3 years of relevant experience in an operations position or project management with a commercial mindset
- Capability of naturally leading projects in the right direction, overseeing the day-to-day operations, managing stakeholders, and setting the right priorities (big vs. smaller issues)
- Affinity for technology and a great eye for detail and data accuracy
- Ability to communicate across functions and seniority; strong team player
- Fluency in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing
- Licensed to drive a car; travel to our locations and regular visits to locations abroad are part of the job
- Adaptable and able to work in a fast-changing environment, you want to contribute to the growth of an ambitious scale-up
What the job involves
- ParkBee is entering an exciting new phase of growth and seeks a proactive and hands-on Operations Specialist. As our Operations Specialist, you’ll be working right in the heart of ParkBee Services. The hundreds of property owners and thousands of loyal clients prove the value of our contribution. For our next growth phase, we will connect with even more property owners and parking spaces on our platform while continuing to optimise our existing properties
- Get parking spaces ready for launch! You are the go-to person for everything (technical implementation plans, signage, and budget control), and you work with internal teams and technical partners to get it done in time
- Creating and implementing property-level business plans focused on improving performance and preventing structural issues
- Management of a large number of property-specific revenue initiatives to drive performance
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer support teams in delivery of these initiatives
- Report on performance of assets
- Regularly visit and manage the ParkBee car parks to ensure an outstanding user experience and make sure they are compliant
- Collaborate with our tech team to ensure an optimal roll-out of products and features in our car parks
- Ensure smooth process from onboarding, launching, technical implementation plans, client satisfaction etc
- Use data-driven insights to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance

Our take
We are currently facing many challenges that derive from the scarcity of physical space in big cities, an issue that will become more prominent in the following years as cities grow both larger and more congested. One of the challenges is the scarcity of parking locations. ParkBee aims to address this problem by developing smart car parking technology that optimizes the use of current resources in order to provide travellers with access to the best place to park.
The startup leverages its network of locations, smart integrations and predictive systems in order to utilize existing underused parking locations and to direct traffic to the right place at the right time. ParkBee's software is used by the UK’s most well-known public car park operators, hotels, and private commercial office spaces. Moreover, the startup allows landlords and other private car park owners to monetize their underutilized spaces by making them available to the public. ParkBee's software is also integrated with consumer-facing car parking space booking apps like RingGo and Parkmobile.
ParkBee's business model involves splitting the revenue generated through renting each parking space with the owner and the fee it charges consumers with RingGo or Parkmobile. The Netherlands-founded startup has over 550 connected parking locations in six countries.
