Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 3+ years of PHP development experience, preferably on enterprise or largescale projects
- Proficiency in the Laminas (formerly Zend) Framework and Doctrine ORM
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, particularly AWSSDK, SQS, SecretsManager, SNS, S3, and Parameter Store
- Experience with local development tooling, including Docker and Docker Compose
- Proficiency with Git (GitHub) for version control
- Familiarity with Agile development processes
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Experience using Jira and Confluence as part of agile project management
- Knowledge of GitHub Actions for continuous integration and deployment
- Familiarity with Docker based containerization platforms, such as ECS or Kubernetes, from a development standpoint
What the job involves
- You'll play a crucial role in transforming communication within our AWS containerized environment, powered by PHP and MySQL
- Develop, test, and maintain PHP-based applications using the Laminas Framework and Doctrine ORM
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and implement high-quality software solutions
- Utilize AWS services, including AWSSDK, SQS, SecretsManager, SNS, S3, and Parameter Store, to integrate cloud capabilities into our applications
- Work with Docker and Docker Compose for local development, ensuring consistency across development environments
- Use Git (GitHub) for version control and collaboration with team members
- Apply Agile methodologies to the software development process, contributing to an iterative and efficient development lifecycle
- Actively participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and best practices are maintained
