Who you are
- This posting is for students enrolled at UofT and eligible for a 12 month PEY/ ASIP eligible placement
- Bachelors / Masters/ PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a focus on AI/ML
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle process and corresponding tools: source code control (git), defect tracking (jira), estimation and planning, build, test automation, CI/CD, etc
- Experience with Python and its data science stack (scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow, PyTorch, spacy.io, gensim)
- Familiarity with NLP methods, both classic (tf-idf, topic modeling) & modern (transformers, embeddings…)
- Some understanding of large sql and no-sql databases such as MySql/Mongo
- Knowledge of GraphDB/ Vector DB
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts
What the job involves
- The Software Engineer develops information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions
- You will determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
- Design and build cutting-edge Seismic applications that will delight our customers
- Work on Innovation to Cutting edge conversational intelligence and audio-video processing, while working with cutting edge technologies
- Write great code that is easy to extend and maintain that scales well
- Develop, test, document and support RESTFul apis
- Write scripts to extract, clean and analyze large data sets (+1TB)
- Participate in the technical design, development, testing and integration of cross functional, multi-tiered platforms focused on sales enablement through use of NLP, ML and AI
- Contribute to the system integration testing (SIT) and provide help with user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the industry and use this knowledge to drive innovation
