Our take
As the interest in Web 3.0 content rises, creators and celebrities across industries are looking to use it to connect with their fans in new and exciting ways. Heir has created a platform for athletes to deepen their engagement with their most loyal supporters and position their brands for a Web 3.0 future.
Heir was founded to deliver benefits for original culture creators and early consumers alike. Users will have the opportunity to read, see and hear directly from elite athletes across the NBA, NFL, WNBA and more, as well as enter competitions for apparel, merch, signed memorabilia and other rewards.
The company has secured good funds to bring its creation to life, with the beta version of the app due to launch to waiting-list users soon. The company’s association with the Jordan brand should give it an initial headwind as it moves to full launch, and it will be interesting to see how the app evolves alongside the changing Web 3.0 space.
