Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years of professional experience in sales and marketing in K-12 education
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Ability to be agile and switch directions quickly and efficiently
- Ability to think strategically and to develop/execute campaigns that drive sales
- Experience in copywriting, design, production, direct mail, and digital marketing
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Amplify’s COVID-19 vaccination policy requires all staff to provide proof of vaccination for in-person meetings unless an approved exemption is provided

- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Deep experience and success in managing complex projects—excellent project management skills are essential

What the job involves
- The Senior Marketing Manager is pivotal in driving divisional growth and meeting sales revenue targets through the development and execution of a targeted marketing strategy
- Working in concert with an international team, this role will be instrumental in closing new sales opportunities, managing digital media and budget, coordinating sales initiatives, and fostering strong customer relationships
- The focus is on innovative campaigns to enhance market presence and facilitate global expansion
- Lead in-bound sales requests throughout the entire sales cycle to help close the sale
- Create and implement a targeted marketing plan aligned with the division's target geographies, goals and OKRs
- Lead the preparation and staffing of international marketing events, e.g. conferences
- Oversee the division's website and collaborate with Corporate Communications on social marketing initiatives
- Manage comprehensive marketing planning, budgeting, metrics, and reporting
- Execute and refine division’s sales support materials, campaigns, and projects
- Launch and monitor goal-oriented marketing campaigns
- Conduct market research to define and target specific market segments effectively
- Conduct product presentations to potential customers or partners
- Collaborate with the Corporate Communications team on media relations in targeted geographies
Our take
Since launching as Wireless Generation in the year 2000, before rebranding in 2012 after News Corp acquired the company, Amplify has grown into one of the leading providers of K-12 curricula, assessment and supplemental programs for ELA (English Language Arts), Math and Science.
The EdTech market has been growing rapidly for the last decade and more, and its value is expected to surpass 230 billion by 2030. This growth means that the company has plenty of competition from the likes of Khan Academy and Kaplan Test, but the fact that Amplify is used by around 10 million students puts it in a very strong position.
After a major growth funding round in 2021, Amplify acquired digital math tools developer Desmos. This is in keeping with its commitment to strategically acquire high-performing education companies in order to expand its own tech and product offerings.
