Role
Who you are
- A bachelor's degree, or at least 7 years of proven experience in a Product Management or Product Owner role, responsible for translating market needs into product deliverables through the entire product lifecycle
- A bachelor's degree, or at least 5 years of proven experience in a Product Management or Product Owner role, responsible for translating market needs into product deliverables through the entire product lifecycle
- Comprehensive understanding of the reporting and analytics needs of the office of the CFO
- Experience with Reporting or BI/Analytics tools
- Experience defining or contributing to the strategy for managing performance and scale of a financial management suite or similar SaaS system
- Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and drive product success
- A sophisticated understanding of systems thinking, with the ability to predict how a change in one part of an ecosystem will impact many other parts
- Always bring data-informed arguments to the forefront
- Ability to inspire software developers to enthusiastically build to your roadmap
- Deeply motivated by the enormous responsibility of ensuring scalable product and infrastructure features and able to effectively evangelize across organizations to effect change
- Demonstrated flexibility, skill, and courage in making decisions amidst a complex set of constraints and shifting market dynamics
- Skilled at crafting scalable, reliable, business-critical systems for large customers
- Ability to define, drive, and deliver products from a blank slate, creating innovative solutions in areas with high ambiguity and no prior blueprint
- Experience with enterprise SaaS, in-memory object graph systems, cloud architecture, and automation technologies a plus

Workday is a cloud-based software vendor that provides management of workforces and finances. The company uses a single database for workforce management and financial management to offer integration and optimize business intelligence across companies. It has added to the packages and tools it offers over the years, providing analytic options that allow companies to combine third-party data with information collected by Workday.
Workday has acquired and paired up with many other companies to keep expanding its offering. In 2021, it purchased the employee feedback platform Peakon in response to the growing need for managers to be able to survey workers and collect satisfaction data without face-to-face meetings. The company has also bought and developed many financial tools and HR management tools.
The company’s goal is to provide end-to-end back office services and while there are other providers, such as UKG Pro and Ceridian HCM, Workday’s broad offering helps them to stand out. Though it faced a tough global market in 2023 and has shed some of its headcount, Workday has seen a 6.5% gain in value in the first quarter of 2024. It is now focusing on growth and developing the AI capabilities of its platform. .
