Who you are
- We're looking for a motivated and curious individual eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
- 5+ years of experience in consulting, private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or a high-growth startup
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in Excel/Google Sheets, SQL, and data visualization tools
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences
- Effective communicator with cross-functional collaboration experience at all technical levels
- Proven track record in project management, from inception to completion
- Proficiency in financial modeling and a solid understanding of accounting principles
- Strategic thinker with strong business judgment and creativity
- Self-motivated learner who thrives in fast-paced environments with keen attention to detail
What the job involves
- As a Finance Manager at Alt, you’ll work closely with the Head of Finance and teams across the company to support strategic initiatives that improve operational and financial efficiency
- This is the perfect opportunity for someone who thrives on problem-solving, enjoys working with data, and is excited to gain hands-on experience in a high-growth company
- Oversee our financial model and collaborate with Alt's operating team to translate it into an annual plan
- Partner with the operating team on annual financial planning, budgeting, and strategy development
- Prepare month-end close deliverables, board decks, and key financial documentation
- Identify gaps in internal financial processes and implement stronger financial controls
- Coordinate with the accounting team and business leaders throughout the annual audit
- Deliver business insights to inform company decision-making and highlight areas for improvement
- Collaborate across departments to optimize operations and implement solutions
- Perform ad hoc analysis on strategic projects as needed

Increased interest in alternative assets has resulted in an unexpected boom in the collectables market, as more people are seeking to diversify their portfolios. Alt is a trading and portfolio management platform capitalizing on this exciting new upswing, making it simple to buy and sell investment-grade trading cards.
Initially dealing exclusively with sports cards, the company’s platform has expanded to include other trading card types, ranging from Pokémon to Yu-Gi-Oh! Alt sets itself apart from the competition by offering its users a vast range of attractive options, such as no buyer premiums, cash advances, Alt Vault card storage and borrowing options.
By tackling the three key problems hobbling the uptake of alternative asset investments (liquidity, price transparency, and physical storage) Alt’s success certainly opens the door for further expansion into different assets like art and sneakers, ushering in a new model for alternative asset markets.
