Who you are
- If you are comfortable approaching multiple stakeholders around the business, including directors, senior stakeholders, and business leaders, LiveScore wants to hear from you
- Preferably, you will have achieved a minimum 2:1 bachelor’s degree
- Established prior paralegal experience or a minimum of 6 months of previous experience in an office environment
- Completion of the LPC, SQE or equivalent is preferred but not essential
- Computer literate – proficient use of common processing tools such as Microsoft Office software, use of legal/compliance platforms or databases an advantage, including SharePoint; Zip; and Practical Law
- Able to work between different departments and adapt schedules and priorities accordingly
- Adaptable, proactive, extremely organised, self-motivated, comfortable taking instructions and getting on with things and equally good at working on their own and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Willing to get involved in work outside of your comfort zone
- In addition to good general legal skills, specific GDPR / gambling regulation knowledge is an advantage
What the job involves
- We are looking for a passionate Paralegal who is eager to learn and immerse themselves into LiveScore Group’s in-house Legal Department and wider global company
- The successful candidate will support the Legal and Compliance teams by assisting with legal, compliance, and administrative matters
- The is a key role within our LiveScore Corporate Services team and the candidate will often act as a point of contact with other parts of the business
- The role provides an excellent foundation for those looking to progress to a qualified legal or compliance career, while also giving opportunities for progression and development within the role to take on more challenging work
- Subject to performance and after a significant tenure as a paralegal, the successful candidate may be offered an in-house training contract
- Drafting, reviewing, and amending legal documents such as non-disclosure agreements, low-value commercial agreements and online terms and conditions
- Providing support on intellectual property matters, including trademark clearance searches, preparing applications for new registrations, monitoring for intellectual property infringements, and preparing take downs from social media sites and app stores
- Administrative support to the legal team including filing/e-filing (administration of the contract management system), preparing documents for signature, arranging for signature, and preparing files for legal matters
- Assisting with various advertising law matters, including reviewing promotions and updating the team on decisions by the Advertising Standards Authority
- Supporting the team with the preparation of contracts, including proof-reading and formatting documents
- Carrying out legal research and writing legal memos for the team
- Working with the insertion order team and reviewing media campaigns before release
- Responsible for organising team social events and maintaining the team social calendar
- Responding to due diligence inquiries, arranging signatures and provision of documents, application forms and regulatory information, including in respect of company ownership and directorship
- Arranging for certification of documents
- Maintaining the compliance filing system and maintaining the regulatory/licence calendar
