Who you are
- 8+ years of proven design experience in leadership roles in consumer-facing, digital-first environment, ideally within a tech-enable or lifestyle-focused brand
- Proven experience leading and managing internal and external design teams, with a strong portfolio demonstrating leadership across multiple disciplines
- A hands-on leader who roles up their sleeves to work alongside the team
- Exceptional creative vision and deep understanding of brand identity creation and high-impact, performance-driven creative work across paid, owned and earned channels
- Expertise in art direction, photography, video production, and cross-channel design
- Strong understanding of performance marketing, conversion optimization, and customer engagement strategies
- A self-starter that’s excited to join and contribute to a mission driven company
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and emerging creative technologies
What the job involves
- Nanit is seeking an experienced Director, Creative Design to lead the visual identity, art direction, design and asset production for our parenting platform
- This role will oversee end-to-end creative execution, ensuring our brand is visually compelling, emotionally resonant, and optimized for performance across all channels
- You’ll drive storytelling that speaks to modern families, balancing brand-building with data-driven decision-making to create high-impact, results-oriented design
- Reporting into the VP of Brand & Creative, this role will oversee a team of designers and will be a highly cross functional partner to internal stakeholders
- Own the creative vision, art direction, and design strategy, ensuring brand consistency across marketing, product, content, and social
- Concept and design integrated brand campaigns and initiatives end-to-end
- Develop performance-driven creative that optimizes engagement, conversion, and brand love
- Lead photo and video production, from concept development to execution, creating assets that resonate with parents and drive action
- Oversee and assist designers across multiple touchpoints, including website, email, paid media, social, and in-app experiences
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing creative team including two direct reports and a roster of freelance talent
- Partner closely with Brand, Growth and Product teams to align creative execution with business objectives
- Translate brand vision and platform into compelling, customer-first design solutions
- Develop and implement best practices for design, creative testing, and optimization to ensure continual improvement
- Stay ahead of cultural, industry, and technological trends, including AI-driven creative tools, to enhance efficiency and impact
