Principal Backend Engineer, Salesforce

• 8+ years of industry experience as a backend engineer, building and operating large-scale, user-facing web applications
• Deep expertise in multiple areas of backend engineering such as data modeling, db performance tuning, state management, API design, transactionality, concurrency, fault tolerance, and scaling, with the ability to pick up new technologies quickly
• Track record of diagnosing systemic architectural problems, prioritizing across competing technical investments, and driving solutions that deliver measurable improvement over time
• Experience designing and improving interfaces and boundaries between teams and systems
• Excellent writing skills and ability to lead real-time technical-design discussions
• Experience working in tandem with Product Managers and Engineers to shape requirements, evaluate tradeoffs, and balance product delivery against foundational investment
• Demonstrated ownership and accountability, with a consistent track record of high standards, continuous improvement, and low-ego collaboration

• As a Principal Software Engineer, Backend Systems, for the Super Agent, you will be instrumental in executing the vision for the AI-driven workflow engine and data platform
• You’ll architect and scale our Go/Postgres/Redis/GraphQL backend, working alongside world-class engineers and product minds to drive high-impact projects, lead critical design discussions, and collaborate directly with customers to shape a platform that’s transforming supply chain, manufacturing, and beyond
• This role offers high autonomy, significant technical ownership, and direct impact on the direction of the platform
• Architect and build scalable, extensible, and reliable backend systems for data-intensive software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications and help shape the long-term technical roadmap
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Product Management and industry experts to deeply understand customer problems, build high-quality product features and make thoughtful tradeoffs that maximize impact
• Lead and mentor engineers, providing guidance and expertise in backend development, database systems and distributed systems, while cultivating broader engineering skills
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating new developments into the backend architecture and processes where appropriate
• Conduct code reviews, technical discussions and decision-making processes to maintain high standards of code quality and best practices
• Drive the adoption of best practices in backend development, data modeling, API design and observability, ensuring scalable, maintainable systems and operational excellence
• Champion a culture of innovation, encouraging and leading initiatives to explore new technologies and improve existing systems
