Who you are

10+ years experience in technology GTM, ideally with experience in sales development, lead generation, and inside sales
2+ years leading teams of 20+ SDRs or inside sales reps
Experience as a functional/operational leader within a high growth organization - comfortable with ambiguity, deep cross-functional collaboration, fast pace, and executive exposure
Highly collaborative and analytical “builder” who can partner effectively and deploy resources to execute a vision, make decisions, and progress initiatives
Experience developing and defining sales processes and motions
Advanced knowledge of sales tools (Salesforce, Outreach) and data/reporting
Experienced in collaborating with marketing and sales teams to improve conversion, build pipeline, and grow revenue

What the job involves

The Head of Inbound Sales Strategy is responsible for executing on the future vision of Inbound and Digital Sales at Twilio
This operational leader will work cross-functionally across the GTM organization to drive progress on high-profile, priority initiatives that optimize our inbound pipeline and revenue engines
The leader will regularly represent Inbound and Digital Sales across Twilio, interfacing with functional and executive stakeholders to solve problems, report results, and collaborate
Digital Sales is a newer motion at Twilio and this leader will play a key role in refining and scaling our processes to support Twilio’s growth
Building and improving on our foundational inbound and digital sales business
Partnering cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and sales strategy teams to establish, refine, and improve operational processes and workflows
Advocating for, representing, and partnering on behalf of digital sales leadership in cross-functional and executive meetings where needed
Driving execution on key initiatives by removing roadblocks and navigating internal processes while communicating progress with stakeholders across the organization
Playing a central role in strategic planning for the inbound and digital sales business
This position reports to the Director of Global Digital Sales

From these beginnings, the company has expanded through acquisitions and product development to provide a suite of services around market data and customer engagement. It is now a market leader in this space, and has developed a customer base of more than 150,000 businesses including enterprise brands such as Deliveroo, Duolingo and Toyota.

Although aggressive expansion and lack of maturity in some of its products in the past impacted the company's efficiency, a 2023 restructuring addressed these problems and allowed it to remain competitive. The company has since focussed on profitability, streamlining decision making and R&D to put itself in good stead for future success.
