Who you are

This is a permanent part-time position scheduled at approximately 20 hours per week, ideal for an experienced administrative or legal professional seeking a flexible work arrangement
High attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and recordkeeping
2+ years of experience in administrative, legal assistant, or operations support roles
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Certification(s), license(s), or professional designation(s) relevant to this role are considered an asset, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Eperience coordinating document execution using electronic signature tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and shared document management platforms
Familiarity with online tools such as DocuSign, Confluence, and document tracking systems is a plus
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments including Legal, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and external advisors

What the job involves

The role supports the company’s legal operations by managing intellectual property administration, coordinating commercial agreement processes, and maintaining accurate legal records across the organization
Manage and monitor intellectual property (patent, trademark, industrial design) deadlines and filings
Prepare and file intellectual property forms and related prosecution documentation
Prepare draft patent filing and office action response documents for review
Support administration of the company’s intellectual property portfolio and liaise with external counsel
Assist with preparation, execution, and lifecycle management of commercial agreements, including distribution agreements
Coordinate document execution and ensure proper storage across internal systems
Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and external advisors
Provide reporting and operational support to the in-house legal function

Clarius's scanners are light, handheld, wireless and connect to Android and iOS devices, making them far more convenient than bulky, traditional scanners. This has allowed Clarius to maintain a distinct market position. Since its launch, the company's devices have carried out over two million scans in over 50 countries. What's more, a recent influx of funding will allow them to scale these numbers.

Off the back of $15.7 million of funding in 2022, Clarius released a new AI-powered, HD model in 2023. This will enable it to build on its current progress and to expand its customer base, which will be a vital part of its continued success.
