Solutions Engineer, Marqeta

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
• Previous experience in a payments-related role, can-do attitude and hands-on approach
• Strong communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation, email)
• Ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Works on problems of moderate scope which are often varied and routine where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
• Applies learned techniques and contributes to analysis and investigation to solve problems
• Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, and general instructions on new assignments

Desirable

• As Marqeta’s Solutions Engineer, you will work with customers to understand their use case and present the platform functionalities that could benefit them
• You’ll work closely with our Business Development team whilst providing continuity to customers from the Sales stage through Delivery and beyond
• Work cross-functionally with our Product, Legal and Technical Operations teams to resolve customer queries during the sales process
• Identify documentation gaps and process efficiencies where possible
• Know the Tech: Quickly get up to speed on Marqeta's technical capabilities, the unique features and customer benefits our platform offers and how to speak with confidence, knowledge and credibility about what we bring to our customers
• This is likely to include working with our Product and Technology teams and serving as a liaison and "voice of our customers" when engaging with them
• Engage with prospects through the different stages of the sales process and be their primary point of contact for any technical or product-related queries
• Technical queries: You’ll be responsible for supporting our customers who are integrating with the platform and troubleshooting
• Beyond the sales process, you’ll re-engage with customers who have launched to support them on their expansion plans/ adding new products and services
