Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, OSCP) are a plus
- Proven experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or a similar role, with a strong focus on security
- In-depth knowledge of secure software development practices, SDLC methodologies, and secure coding principles
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI, and proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated security controls
- Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, and knowledge of securing containerized environments
- Familiarity with security scanning tools, static code analysis, and vulnerability management platforms
- Knowledge of network security, web application security, and database security principles
- Excellent scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
What the job involves
- As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining secure and compliant software development and delivery processes
- You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure the security and reliability of our applications and infrastructure
- Your expertise will contribute to the development and deployment of secure financial systems and services
- Develop and maintain secure software development and deployment processes, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Collaborate with development teams to embed security practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Implement and maintain security controls, tools, and best practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data
- Monitor and analyze security events, alerts, and logs to identify and respond to security incidents and threats
- Automate security tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices, and proactively implement appropriate security measures
- Collaborate with compliance and risk management teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and industry-specific security requirements
- Participate in incident response and contribute to post-incident reviews and remediation activities
- Mentor and provide guidance to other team members on security best practices and secure coding principles
