Role
Who you are
- Preferred minimum of 4+ years as a proven Account Executive
- Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of CRM software (eg. Salesforce, Hubspot) is a plus
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
- Sense of urgency and persistence
- Organizational and time-management skills
- Enthusiastic and passionate
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Marketing is a plus
What the job involves
- Create detailed business plans to facilitate the attainment of goals and quotas
- Manage the entire sales cycle from finding a client to securing a deal
- Unearth new sales opportunities through networking, cold calling, email campaigns and social touches and turn them into long term partnerships
- Deliver quality and tailored demonstrations of Vizion’s products to prospects based on their needs and priorities
- Attend industry meetings, trade shows and events to generate leads and meet in person with prospective customers
- Assist with keeping sales playbooks up to date on what works and what doesn’t – knowledge share with the team
- Respond to complaints and resolve issues aiming to customer contentment and the preservation of the company’s reputation
- Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales and data
Our take
Climate change, material shortages, economic turbulence and political instability have wreaked considerable havoc on supply chains in recent years. To mitigate the risk of disrupted and delayed shipments, stakeholders must first understand where those shipments are.
Vizion is catering for this unprecedented demand in container visibility. Crucially though, Vizion’s goal has always been providing a large amount of supply chain data, accessible through a simple API connection, enabling large global shippers to invest in in-house logistics solutions.
That means that Vizion’s largest customers are the freight forwarders themselves, looking to augment their service for customers with shipment tracing data. In alignment with this, Vizion plans to grow its product and sales teams to bring its existing and new offerings to these global shippers.
The truth is, Vizion cannot fulfil its valuation expectations simply through live shipment tracking. As its leadership are well aware, Vizion will have to execute the difficult task of building out a suite of products likely including “whole-market benchmarking” and “data lake-type products.” Thankfully, its proprietary dataset puts it into a perfect position to do so.
