Role
Who you are
- A business degree in accounting or finance is required; CPA or working towards it is an asset
- 3+ years of progressive experience in any of the following: revenue accounting/reporting, financial planning and analysis, or similar
- Highly organized, detail‐oriented, and accurate: Able to prioritize, work well and thrive under pressure while producing high quality deliverables
- Team player and flexible: Understands the importance of ‘pitching in’ and able to deal with quickly changing priorities in a positive, productive manner
- Strong oral and written communication skills: Interacts clearly and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in Sage Intacct, Salesforce, and Excel is an asset
What the job involves
- This role will report to the Revenue Manager and assist with the order-to-cash and revenue reporting processes
- The Senior Revenue Analyst will have a tremendous impact on our revenue reporting and support various company initiatives to grow and scale
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management reporting with a specific focus on revenue: analyze results and variances to budget, prepare SaaS KPIs, and communicate insights to Revenue Manager
- Collaborate closely with the Account Management team to accurately and comprehensively report new sales, expansions, decreases and churn
- Own monthly/quarterly revenue-related reconciliations and book necessary journal entries as part of month-end close
- Build budgets and rolling forecasts based on SaaS methodologies for ARR (“Annual Recurring Revenue”) and NRR (“Non-Recurring Revenue”)
- Report on monthly and quarterly ARR by customer
- Prepare and update cash receipts forecast on a bi-weekly basis, incorporating A/R aging notes and other relevant factors
- Assist on various projects aimed at optimizing order-to-cash processes, which may include implementing enhancements in the billing process, establishing automated templates for dunning notices to reduce DSO (“Days Sales Outstanding”), participating in the customer database project, and streamlining the budget process

The company’s roots go back to 1982 and the early days of web development and SaaS, but a 2019 merger between higher education CMS OmniUpdate, and Student Lifecycle Management (SLM) company Destiny Solutions, led to a 2021 rebrand as Modern Campus.
Now over 2,000 North American institutions are customers of the company, including St. Louis University and Utah Valley University. This gives an indication of Modern Campus’ relevance and strength of position in the market.
There are no signs of slowing down as Modern Campus looks to tap into increasing demand for the modernization of campus life. Since rebranding, the company has been making key acquisitions in the higher education sector to expand its own service range, including campus engagement platform Presence and conversational text messaging platform Signal Vine. Growth funding awarded in 2025 will be used to develop its product and continue its acquisition spree.
