Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred

What the job involves
- The Senior Manager of Capacity Finance will be a key strategic partner to the Chief Operating Officer and the entire CoreWeave capacity planning team
- This role is responsible for leading all financial capacity, CapEx, and infrastructure cost planning, leading ongoing finance operations for capacity management, and providing strategic analysis to support the capacity planning organization
- This role will be a critical leader to ensure proper governance over infrastructure investments and support leadership in these decisions
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the financial planning and analysis process for the capacity planning organization, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning
- CapEx Planning: Drive the weekly, monthly, and quarterly processes to ensure alignment and proper governance on all compute, storage, and networking infrastructure investments
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with capacity leadership to provide strategic analysis capacity deployments and cost optimization
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the proper financial controls on all compute, storage, and networking infrastructure investments
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including engineering, product, and operations to support overall business goals
- We continue to foster a collaborative environment by bringing teams together quarterly

Our take
Many cloud service providers can suffer from slow prediction speeds when they are used for data modeling. CoreWeave solves this problem with its specialized cloud service provider.
CoreWeave reduces prediction times and makes service requests faster and more efficient. This, in turn, cuts cloud costs considerably. This has proven to be a strong draw for many companies, with CoreWeave signing a lucrative partnership with GPU heavyweight NVIDIA as well as partnering with BitOoda, which has allowed it to expand its operations to the financial market.
However, in 2023 it closed three very significant rounds of funding (Series B and debt and secondary extensions), which is being invested into expanding its US-based data centers, opening two new ones in the coming year. The question remains whether, despite 2023's big investments in the sector, CoreWeave can maintain this momentum and whether generative AI's stock will continue to rise.
