Role
Who you are
- Proven track record of successful sales experience, preferably selling educational software solutions to universities or other educational institutions
- In-depth knowledge of the higher education industry, including key players, challenges, and trends
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to close deals and meet sales targets
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed, with a passion for driving educational innovation
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with university clients and attend industry events
What the job involves
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential customers, market trends, and competitive landscape within the higher education sector
- Develop and implement a comprehensive territory sales plan to achieve sales targets and objectives in alignment with the company's overall goals
- Generate high-quality leads through various channels, including email campaigns, referrals, networking, and attending industry conferences or events
- Conduct compelling presentations and product demonstrations to university stakeholders, showcasing the benefits and features of PebblePad
- Customize presentations based on the specific needs and requirements of each university, effectively positioning our products as valuable educational tools
- Collaborate with internal teams to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with university clients, ensuring win-win agreements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior key decision-makers within universities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer success, to align sales efforts with company initiatives
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, updating HubSpot and management on progress, challenges, and opportunities within the university market segment
