Who you are
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Passionate about the things you build and want to make a difference
- You are a Fullstack Engineer with experience in React.js and ideally React Native, on the backend you have experience in Java/Kotlin and/or Go
- Ideally, you have worked with MongoDB, Terraform, Docker before and have an understanding of REST and Microservices, next to that, you are passionate for Test Driven Development
- Proficient knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Focused on quality, testability, security, and documentation
- CI/CD and automation experience
- Preferably, you have worked in an agile environment before
- Good English communication skills
- You are a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding and appreciative diversity and inclusivity in the workplace
What the job involves
- We're on the lookout for a talented Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our Staffbase team and help us build an awesome internal communications platform
- We are looking for empathetic and motivated team players who are motivated by growth and ownership
- Our vision is to provide an outstanding experience for our end users and a reliable app framework to other teams in a transparent way
- Responsible for improving and developing both our web-based clients, and our RESTful web services
- Work in a cross-functional scrum team and produce high-quality and tested code
- Give and receive valuable feedback in our code review process and continuously learn and share knowledge with your peers
- Being open to feedback and taking ownership of your work are essential
- Take ownership for the topics you care about, ranging from the features you produce over the quality of our work to the environment we work in
- You work iteratively, frequently pushing code, ensuring a good CI/CD pipeline, and automating where possible
Our take
Since launching in 2014, Staffbase has grown into a major name in the internal communications niche. Its platform is used by the likes of Samsung, ALDI, DHL, and Domino’s to create branded, mobile-first communication and information sharing tools which can access a company’s intranet from anywhere.
Staffbase has managed to set itself apart to some extent from the range of other internal communication apps like Slack and Teams by focusing on building a product tailored towards dedicated internal communication teams, rather than taking a more general approach.
This is proving to be a good decision as, with the shift to remote and hybrid working, the last few years have seen Staffbase gather serious momentum. A 2021 merger with Canadian competitor Banantang has been followed up by a series of major funding rounds and a rise to unicorn status. As well as this, it’s been expanding its own product portfolio through a number of strategic acquisitions as it looks to stay ahead of the competition.
