Role
Who you are
- 3 to 5 years of experience in B2B sales or account management, preferably in travel, mobility, hospitality, or related service industries
- A track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets through consultative, solution-oriented selling
- Strong pipeline management, negotiation, and closing skills
- Proactive, results-driven, and equally comfortable hunting for new business and nurturing existing accounts
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
- Fluent in English
What the job involves
- As a Sales Manager for the New York region (covering New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania) you will drive the growth of Blacklane’s B2B client base, expanding our footprint across the Americas
- You’ll be responsible for winning new business, nurturing long-term client partnerships, and ensuring a seamless experience that reflects Blacklane’s premium service standards
- This role blends autonomy with cross-functional collaboration, giving you the opportunity to make a tangible impact in a dynamic and growing market
- Drive new business growth: Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across the New York region
- Build client relationships: Establish and strengthen connections with corporate clients, travel managers, agencies, and key decision-makers
- Manage sales pipeline: Develop and maintain a robust pipeline with accurate forecasting and consistent follow-up
- Lead RFP/RFI processes: Navigate complex procurement cycles with support and guidance from senior leadership when required
- Deliver tailored proposals: Create and present compelling, customized proposals and presentations that highlight Blacklane’s value proposition
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with Sales Operations, Product, and Operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and long-term client success
- Represent Blacklane externally: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking forums to boost visibility and generate qualified leads
- Leverage market insights: Capture and share client feedback, competitive intelligence, and market trends to refine and strengthen sales strategy
Our take
Business transport for frequent travellers can be a difficult process. The pain of booking systems, invoicing, and inconsistent quality of services are issues travellers regularly face, hindering business operations and causing unnecessary delays. Alongside this, Chauffeurs also experience empty cars due to non-optimised booking processes.
Blacklane aims at the higher end of the market, targeting corporate workers, executives and those who have the means to pay extra for higher levels of service when they travel. Through a booking system available on the company's website and in-app, Blacklane provides a reliable high-end service with inclusive pricing and on-call customer support. Blacklane also works for chauffeurs, filling empty seats to optimise services.
The company is also environmentally conscious, operating as a carbon-neutral company since 2017. It offers electric vehicle rides in more than 50 cities and countries and with recent funding, is ready to expand even further. Alongside this, it has announced a number of recent partnerships, signifying the company is in a very good place for future growth.
