Role
Who you are
- Experience in sales, in a fast paced technology or SaaS company
- Experience building rapport and selling to partners
- Market knowledge in current Practice and SME software competitor platforms is a plus
- Knowledge of the workings of an accounting practice and systems is a plus
- Enthusiasm for building new relationships with Accounting firms

What the job involves
- As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for growing and developing Xero's commercial relationships with accountants and bookkeepers within your territory
- By helping these partners create and execute a strategy to digitise their practice, you will drive positive outcomes for their business while contributing to Xero's revenue and subscription growth
- Your work makes a direct impact by making small businesses more efficient every day and connecting them with big business technology
- Through effective territory management and consultative selling, you will recruit and land new accounting partners to grow the channel and build a stronger economy
- You will work as part of a coordinated team that values transparency and diverse perspectives to create a positive impact
- The team collaborates closely with technical experts to present end-to-end accounting workflow solutions and nurtures a community through peer-to-peer networking events
- Categorising and prioritising all new accounting and bookkeeping partners within your defined territory
- Generating a pipeline of qualified opportunities through quarterly planning and proactive outbound activity
- Using Salesforce to maintain accurate account hygiene and track key touchpoints
- Driving the development of online and cloud strategies for both existing and new partners

Xero is one of the largest companies of its kind, with its promise to save time and effort for small business owners - who often don’t have in-house accounting teams - capturing interest and allowing the company to scale. It has a strong rival in Intuit QuickBooks, which offers similar services, but competes by being most effective for growing startups, and having an incredibly simple user experience.
A series of acquisitions and partnerships, including the purchase of Instafile in 2018, have consolidated Xero’s market share. The company continues to add new integrations, such as with Vehocheck Workshop Manager, and the 2023 launched Beautiful Business Fund that will help small businesses accelerate growth.
