Role
Who you are
- 3+ year experience: hands-on experience in accounting or financial controlling, ideally in a dynamic or growth-oriented environment
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, or a completed relevant commercial apprenticeship
- Strong analytical capabilities: able to translate data into clear, accurate, and relevant insights
- Proven entrepreneurial mentality: strong business-oriented decision-making skills with a balanced approach to speed vs. risk with a bias towards impact
- Collaborative team player with demonstrated ability to build trust, communicate openly and effectively with stakeholders across levels and to collaborate across functions
- Hands-on approach: pragmatic and “roll-up-your-sleeves” mentality, handling adjacent tasks as needed (incl. operational & admin tasks)
- Languages: Fluent in written and spoken German & English (French and or Italian language skills are a plus)
What the job involves
- We are now looking for an Accountant to support our Finance team, someone who balances a detailed-oriented approach with the pragmatism required to thrive in a start-up operating at the forefront of cutting-edge technological advancements
- We are operating in a fast-moving environment requiring an open-minded and adaptable mindset
- A/P invoices and A/R invoices in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Expense management (e.g., company credit cards, invoices etc.)
- Prepare timely and accurate P&L reporting for the Swiss entity
- Ensure accuracy, cleanliness and clarity of data, numbers and figures
- Take ownership of reporting, planning, budgeting and controlling within the Finance team
- Support company consolidation activities
- Coordinate external accounting partners for non-Swiss subsidiaries (incl. New York, London, Berlin and Singapore)
- Responsible for treasury management and associated tasks
- Ensure compliance with VAT, insurance requirements, local statutory obligations, etc
