Role
Who you are
- 2-4 years of experience in a business operations or analytics role, ideally coming from a top tier management consulting firm
- Strong analytical skills - ability to analyze data, derive key insights and diagnose business issues
- Ability to think independently and strategically, with an exceptional attention to detail to drive program management and execution of strategy
- Ability to translate complex data into clear strategic insights and recommendations for executive leadership
- Strong executive presence - excellent verbal & written communications skills
- Strong proficiency with Excel; some experience in SQL and BI tooling
- High intellectual horsepower with attention to detail and ability to work with autonomy

What the job involves
- We're looking for a Business Operations Manager!
- In this role, you'll support our Senior Manager, Business Operations and leadership team with data analysis and operational projects
- You'll help bring structure to complex business challenges, analyze data to identify opportunities, and contribute to strategic initiatives
- This is a high-impact role that offers exposure to how a fast-growing startup operates while building your skills in business strategy and operations
- Support leadership and your manager with analysis and research on key business challenges
- Build dashboards and reports to track performance metrics and surface insights
- Contribute to planning processes and help prepare materials for leadership review
- Assist with cross-functional projects, working with teams across GTM, product, engineering and operations
- Analyze business problems and translate findings into clear recommendations
- Help optimize processes and drive operational improvements across departments

Due to startups raising funding in multiple stages, calculating the ownership breakdown as the business evolves can be difficult. Pulley hopes to make that process less opaque with cap-table management and scenario-modelling tools that provide founders with employee and investor equity information.
The platform enables startups to model dilution in future rounds, helps employees understand the value of their equity as the company grows, and makes maintaining equity plans faster and easier.
Based on the costs to manage cap tables and the potential opportunity lost due to companies staying private for longer periods, the market Pulley operates in is worth up to $10 billion. Competition comes from Carta and Morgan Stanley's Shareworks.
