Senior Accountant, Alto Pharmacy

• 5+ years of increasing responsibility within accounting roles
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• Ability to analyze financial records and interpret for other departments
• Meticulous attention to detail and effective communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proactive in identifying process inefficiencies and offer suggestions for improvements
• Self-directed, able to perform responsibilities independently with minimal direction
• Excelled computer skills: Expert Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
• Strong desire to be a team player and help in whatever capacity possible
• Willing and eager to learn!
• Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation a plus (Intact, Coupa and FloQast)
• Industry experience in healthcare is a plus!

Desirable

• Review journal entries & balance sheet reconciliations for fixed assets, prepaids, payroll, and any other areas as needed
• Work independently to investigate GL related inquiries and implement process improvements by working within the accounting team and partnering with cross functional stakeholders
• Perform MoM analytical procedures to ensure completeness and accuracy of account balances
• Preparation of flux analysis
• Analyze financial statements and GL data for discrepancies, errors, and other issues that should be brought to the Manager’s attention
• Research accounting guidance to ensure GL items are correctly recorded, and clearly communicate findings
• Assist in the preparation of financial information for taxes, regulatory agencies, and stockholders
• Update company accounting procedures and processes as needed, and follow procedures as implemented
• Strengthen and document internal controls
• Identify and implement procedures to improve efficiency, and work with other departments as needed to execute
• Assist with year-end audits
