Role
Who you are
- 5 years of Business Development experience, preferably B2B within the hospitality industry
- Ability to develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with all types of contact points, from executive chefs to catering managers
- A sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
- Exhibit leadership skills, collaborating effectively to generate measurable results
- Strong communication and mediation/conflict management skills
- Persuasive & savvy enough to know how to turn a “No” into a “Yes”
- Ability to analyze large datasets against performance metrics
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and as a team
- Knowledge of the national and local food & culinary scene
- Strong technological skills using Google Drive, Excel & Helpscout along with other CRMs
- Startup experience preferred

What the job involves
- The Cater2.me Vendor team eats, breathes, and dreams of great food. Exploring new cuisines and staying in the know about the top local eateries is an integral part of what our team does regularly
- You'll scour the culinary landscape to find the best local chefs, caterers, food trucks, and restaurants to join our program and will then lead them through the onboarding process from start to finish
- The team creates and fosters close relationships with our vendors to provide the best food in the business to our clients
- Leading training and providing mentorship to our vendors will help to build the foundation of our future while supporting growing markets remotely
- Manage the full onboarding cycle from prospecting to discovery calling
- Research and engage vendors daily using cold call and email techniques
- Scour your respective markets for high-quality vendors that add value to our vendor base
- Schedule vendor meetings with the Vendor Onboarding Specialist Team
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships based on trust and accountability
- Collaborate on quarterly project initiatives as assigned by management and stakeholders

Cater2.me was founded by two Morgan Stanley and Oliver Wyman alums, who set out to create a more varied and exciting alternative to traditional corporate catering. The service connects companies with local food vendors, offering a customizable, rotating menu. Since its launch, Cater2.me has diversified significantly, and now offers a wider range of non-culinary perks.
In recent years, the company has worked hard to expand its operations and is now active in 11 US cities. Forming partnerships in new cities will be instrumental if Cater2.me is to continue to compete with more traditional catering and perks solutions.
