Role
Who you are
- An experienced analyst with experience working in credit risk/fraud/financial crime/ pricing area and experience in using data to provide insight and strategic change
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential as the role will entail interaction with a range of stakeholders
- Open-minded go-getter, willing and able to work independently and collaboratively to solve challenging and interesting problems
- Logical and methodical problem solver, able to absorb complex information and propose solution
- Proficient in Microsoft packages in particular Excel and PowerPoint
- Coding experience (SQL/Python preferable)
- Knowledge of impairment/provisioning/IFRS9 bonus
What the job involves
- Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week, 1 hour for lunch)

- Using analytical insight to drive decisions and change is fundamental to how Oodle operates
- You will be part of the Credit Risk function, optimising origination and customer management strategies using data insights to deliver both good company and customer outcomes
- As part of this, you will get mentoring from Senior staff members from a range of backgrounds, we run a cross-functional team which you’ll learn to develop analytical frameworks and models to drive company strategy, working closely day to day with Data Science to provide best in class solutions impact in a variety of business areas including
- Fraud, Customer Management, Origination & Finance
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and communicate insights and strategy decisions to different business partners, developers, operations teams, and management
- Develop and optimise Oodle’s retail credit strategies, leveraging internal and external data such as the credit reference agencies and fraud databases
- Contribute to Oodle’s analytical models, employing cutting edge data science techniques and methodologies:
- New Origination Unit Economics
- Impairment model
- Credit Decisioning Scorecard
- Fraud Identification Models
- Extract, manipulate, and analyse data on the performance of Oodle’s portfolio, ensuring the agreements are performing within expectations
- Enhance Oodle’s loss forecasting and provisioning methodology
- Provide insight from monitoring to stakeholders and suggest changes to the business strategies, presenting to stakeholders at all levels, including members of the Executive Committee
