- This person will also need to be comfortable using the current processes to manage events
- Travel is required for several events (about 30-40%), including domestic and international 3 to 5 times a month (varies depending on the event commitments). An active passport is required for travel outside the US
- 4+ years of onsite event coordination/planning experience in a corporate environment for external events, running it from soup to nuts
- Showcase experience in understanding how events support the pipeline for the company with a focus on ROI
- Impeccably organized, high-energy, team player, enjoys working with many people and departments and works well under tight deadlines
- Knowledge of the technology/corporate meeting and events space
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
What the job involves
- This contract position provides leave coverage for about six months, pays hourly rate wages, and is not eligible for employee benefits
- We’re looking for a talented and dedicated Global Events Manager to support a team member out on maternity leave
- You will be coordinating and managing the important behind-the-scenes details while learning about Cloudinary and our Customers
- The interim manager will work on various types of events such as trade shows, conferences, hosted events, customer events, meetups, and internal sales conferences
- This role will report directly to our VP of Corporate Marketing
- Developing and executing an integrated plan for sponsorship & attendance for the assigned events, which can include internal kickoff & check-in meetings with the team, all logistics for assigned events, including booth and overall onsite experience, staffing, on-site logistics, and internal alignment on goals and support pre- and post-event campaigns with Demand Generation team
- Responsible for 3-5 events per month, including conferences, tradeshows, dinners, internal training, customer user groups
- Use all martech & other company tools to manage all events including Salesforce, Splash, Monday.com, Google Suite (Gmail, Gdrive, Google Calendar) & Confluence
- Good understanding of how to use Salesforce for marketing campaign management
- Rallying cross-functional resources, such as the sales team, to drive interest in and registrations for an event
- Supporting the creative team on various elements of event design and experience
- Partnering with cross-functional resources to plan and execute pre- and post-event campaigns
- Ensuring event logistics, services, and shipping are handled on time and within budget
- Overseeing that leads and follow-up are done promptly with the Demand Gen and Sales teams
- Managing various aspects of the event with outside vendors, including but not limited to overall theme and production, food and beverage, setup, budgeting, speaker recruitment, registration, and post-event follow-up
- Processing invoices; tracking event expenses
- Coordinating and executing on-site event support for facility setup, exhibit set-up, AV, and catering requirements
- Assisting with ordering and managing swag via Alyce & other vendor inventory websites
- Must be able to lift, move, and carry up to 25lbs or use a dolly for assistance (no egos!)
- Must be comfortable presenting event kick-off, Know Before You Go, and wrap-up decks to all stakeholders which could include executives in attendance at the meetings
