Who you are
- Currently enrolled as a student in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Security, Law) with at least 1 year remaining in your studies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both German and English
- Basic understanding of information security concepts, such as risk management, security controls, network security, or data protection
- Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment
What the job involves
- As a Working Student in our Information Security team, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic and growing field
- You will support our team in various tasks related to information security, compliance, and risk management, contributing to the protection of our systems, data, and processes
- This role offers a valuable learning experience for students interested in pursuing a career in cybersecurity
- Maintain and update ISMS documentation, including policies, procedures, and risk registers
- Support internal security audits, control checks, and awareness training programs
- Review security alerts and logs to identify potential incidents and assist in their escalation
- Contribute to the maintenance and configuration of security monitoring tools and threat intelligence research
- Assist with GDPR compliance activities, such as data subject requests and privacy impact assessments
- Support the implementation and monitoring of security controls (e.g. , ISO 27001)
- Support security testing, including vulnerability scans, within the software development lifecycle
- Document and promote secure coding practices in collaboration with the development team
Our take
Providing smartphones to employees can be a taxing and costly process for businesses, particularly in cases of loss or accidental damage. Stress is often placed on the IT department to run this side of operations, which takes time away from more important business matters.
To help with this, Everphone supplies a device-as-a-service platform for delivering company smartphones and tablets. Businesses subscribe to the service to receive rental devices, which can be replaced within a day in case of loss or damage. In a step for better sustainability, after the employee is done with them, the devices are either refurbished or sent off to a new location.
Everphone has raised several impressive rounds of funding and generated considerable revenue, managing hundreds of thousands of devices for over 1000 clients. The latest influx of capital, which comes from both existing and new investors, will be used to pursue international expansion and achieve profitability.
