What the job involves
- At Comun, we’re building the financial home for Latinos in the U.S., and we believe by storytelling through content we’ll connect with millions of people
- As our Content Intern, you’ll be right in the middle of that mission — shooting, editing, and experimenting with content that actually gets seen
- You’ll learn how to take an idea from spark → script → post → performance report, and you’ll get real experience building a fast-growing brand
- Create and edit scroll-stopping TikToks, IG Reels, and Shorts
- Drop 10–12 posts a week (mix of fresh trends + reimagined clips)
- Add subtitles (EN/ES), experiment with hooks, and design thumbnails that pop
- Test different cuts and formats to see what keeps people watching
- Schedule posts and make sure captions/hashtags are optimized to go further
- Share weekly “what worked / what didn’t” learnings — your ideas will directly shape our content strategy
- Real impact: The videos you create won’t sit in a folder — they’ll go live and get seen by millions
- Learn growth marketing by doing: You’ll get hands-on training in how startups use content to acquire and engage users
- Build systems, not just posts: See how to turn scrappy editing into repeatable content engines for a fintech brand
- Go beyond editing: Get exposure to influencer marketing, UGC campaigns, and community activations that bring content to life offline
- Level up fast: By the end of this internship, you’ll know how to analyze what works, scale it, and pitch content ideas with confidence
- We are a team of 38 based out of New York, coming from industry-leading companies like Brex, Nubank, Cruise, and Verkada. Over half of us are immigrants, and have experienced the problems we’re solving first hand. We value customer focus, high ambition, principled decision-making, and deep trust
Our take
In the US, it is difficult for immigrants to access financial services or build financial stability for themselves and their families. Barriers such as language, lack of documentation and the cost of services contribute to a structural opportunity gap. This is what Comun hopes to combat.
Acting as a financial ally for its users, Comun enables Latino immigrants in the US to open a checking account using any valid ID from their home country. Having this account enables people to deposit cash, send money home securely, access their paycheck early and talk to support in their own language.
All these features combine to make Comun the perfect place for people to gain control and peace of mind over their finances. This valuable idea has gained the interest of investors, who supplied funds that the company will use to build a financial hub with expanded solutions and resources.
