- This is a pivotal role for someone passionate about creating scalable design engines and delivering exceptional user experiences
- A proven track record of success leading product design efforts at fast-paced startups with world-class products
- Expertise in design tools, particularly Figma for design execution and Notion for documentation and collaboration
- A self-starter who thrives on fast execution and demonstrates a high degree of ownership
- Strong ability to develop scalable design systems and align them with cross-functional goals
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with experience working closely with diverse teams including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering
- Deep ownership of complex design problems, paired with the ability to balance strong product instincts with cross-functional alignment, never working in a silo
- Designer needs to be responsive, promptly providing rationale for design decisions and be open to quickly iterating on alternatives when needed

What the job involves
- As Senior Product Designer, you'll shape the design culture, systems, and strategy for a company building world-class products
- You'll need to be a self-starter who thrives on execution, owns the design process end-to-end, and collaborates cross-functionally with teams across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales
- You'll lead the end-to-end design process, from discovery and wireframing to prototyping and delivery, ensuring a high standard of quality across all touchpoints
- Create and maintain design systems, workflows, and tools that enable rapid execution and consistency as we scale
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering to align on shared goals and deliver user-centric solutions that also drive business impact
- Champion user-centered design across the organization, influencing product strategy and fostering a high-performance design ethos
- Rapidly onboard to TRM’s product and business to begin delivering value within the first 90 days
- Designers closely collaborate with product managers, reviewing and thinking through product specs, asking questions and adding suggestions
- They understand the value we need to provide with each feature, and are able to come up with multiple approaches for it while considering timelines and efficient use of resources
- Designs are dynamic and flexible; work doesn’t finish once mockups are approved
- It is common that a design that was approved needs to be updated/adjusted on the spot as the team is building
- Iteration is quick and mostly live through Slack threads or huddles
- Work hours vary and can be flexible, as long as communication on availability is clear

- Design mocks within 24-48 hours
- Understand product priorities efficiently, organize design tasks and align with the team to assign the right scope for a feature and deciding whether you need to design the 1 day, 1 week, or 1 month version
- This work has teeth. At TRM, your week might include:

- Shipping products in days when others would schedule quarters
- Partnering with teams across time zones to deliver insights while the story is still unfolding
- Building new solutions from first principles when the playbook doesn’t yet exist
- Protecting victims and customers by tracing illicit activity and disrupting criminal networks
Our take
The crypto space has become more mainstream but it is also intensely volatile and poorly regulated, with a high degree of anonymity afforded to its users. As such it has become a major source of financial fraud with $20 billion in crypto stolen in 2022 alone. TRM Lab exists to return trust to the blockchain, helping banks, government agencies and crypto companies detect and combat fraud with its blockchain intelligence solutions.
As the risk of blockchain fraud is only increasing, with the proceeds often being used for organized crime, there are a number of companies working in this space. TRM stands out with the breadth of its crypto asset coverage and the strength of its cross-chain analytics. It has partnered with the FBI and Europol to aid its investigations, and is also used by major crypto companies MoonPay and Binance.
The company has grown its revenue by almost 500% year on year since its founding in 2018, and has raised a significant amount of capital. With the funding its secured, its further developing its product and hiring additional talent. And as businesses and government agencies increasingly come to grips with fraud in the crypto space, TRM is well poised to continue its rapid growth.
