Who you are

Infrastructure & Cloud Expertise: Strong experience designing and operating complex infrastructure on AWS / GCP / Azure (multi-cloud preferred)
DevOps & Automation Mastery: Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI, Helm, Kubernetes, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code practices
Monitoring & Reliability: Expertise with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog) and SRE methodologies
Not all qualifications are required - strong alignment and relevant experience are what matter most

Desirable

Scripting & Development: Proficiency in Bash, Python, or Go for automation and tooling
Database Experience: Proficiency in any variant of SQL

As a DevOps Engineer, you will contribute to Pelico’s infrastructure strategy and execution to support our rapid growth
Your mission: ensure a secure, scalable, and reliable multi-cloud environment while driving automation, performance, and operational excellence
You’ll shape long-term practices and tooling, and tackle critical challenges to deliver a world-class developer experience
Objective 1: Master & Continuously Improve DevOps Tooling & Infrastructure
Act as an expert on Linux administration, GitLab CI, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), and other critical DevOps tools
Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance operational efficiency
Maintain and evolve the DevOps knowledge base, documentation, and methodologies to resolve recurring issues and to ensure scalability as Pelico grows
Improve observability, logging, and monitoring through robust tooling
Take ownership of on-call responsibilities, ensuring quick response and resolution of incidents
Objective 2: Work closely with customers throughout their lifecycle
Be involved in customer onboarding process to provide technical guidance in configuring their environment
Coordinate with IT teams and ensure proper release cadence that meets their needs
Meet with customer representatives and end users to understand potential feature improvements, bring to the product team for prioritization, and help deliver

Our take

Due to a volatile supply chain landscape, fluctuating demands and deepening product complexity, factory operations are becoming increasingly difficult to run smoothly and efficiently, which in turn affects their revenue.

Pelico believes that its factory operations SaaS platform is the answer, particularly for factories which are pivoting from mass production to more discrete models with variable products in smaller volumes. By leveraging data analysis and AI modeling, Pelico is able to foresee bottlenecks such as parts shortages, then provide AI-generated recommendations.

The last few years have seen a growing number of startups enter this space as manufacturers feel the supply chain squeeze. Though it’s a highly competitive market, Pelico has grown quite strongly in Europe. Having secured major funding, the French startup is aiming to accelerate its North American expansion, expand its data science and engineering teams and further develop its product.
