- 3+ years of work experience in consulting, investment banking, or strategic roles in tech

What the job involves
- The Chief of Staff is an extension of Comun’s cofounders, supporting them with IC work on any high priority item that surfaces across the company that is not suited for delegation to a particular function, making this role highly strategic and cross-functional
- Finance: Take ownership of our financial function. This includes maintaining our financial model, managing accounting, reconciliations, and owning our key financial metrics and vendor contracts
- OKRs: You will own KR tracking for company-level and function-specific objectives. You will also drive planning for future OKR exercises
- Board Meeting Prep: You will help our CEO prepare key materials for our quarterly board meeting
- Product Strategy: You will assist our head of product and founders in defining our long term product roadmap
- Business Development: You will source and own partnerships that can unlock business or user value across our product suite. This includes key vendors, affiliates, and product integrations
- Company building: You will help with additional needs that arise as we grow our team, reinforce our culture, and expand our roadmap
Our take
In the US, it is difficult for immigrants to access financial services or build financial stability for themselves and their families. Barriers such as language, lack of documentation and the cost of services contribute to a structural opportunity gap. This is what Comun hopes to combat.
Acting as a financial ally for its users, Comun enables Latino immigrants in the US to open a checking account using any valid ID from their home country. Having this account enables people to deposit cash, send money home securely, access their paycheck early and talk to support in their own language.
All these features combine to make Comun the perfect place for people to gain control and peace of mind over their finances. This valuable idea has gained the interest of investors, who supplied funds that the company will use to build a financial hub with expanded solutions and resources.
