Who you are

- 5+ years of experience in software engineering
- 2+ years of experience in people and project management (ideally in a distributed environment)
- Fluency in English
- Experience with ML, web and backend development
- Experience with a company at roughly Dashlane's size and scaling up (100-500 employees)
- You have a BS in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Management, or similar relevant field
What the job involves
- Join Dashlane as an Engineering Manager and take part in a mission to create a beautiful and scalable application with global impact
- As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for driving technical delivery and project planning, fostering collaboration within and beyond your team, and ensuring alignment with the overall product vision
- You will play a key role in driving innovation, shaping technical direction, mentoring engineers, and evolving the team’s structure and practices to support growth and scale
- You will lead a cross-functional, agile team of approximately 8 engineers with varying levels of experience
- The team owns key components of Dashlane’s user-facing platform, covering three technical stacks: our web extension, backend services, and machine learning models
- Its mission is to enhance user security and core product features through intelligent, AI-powered capabilities, such as improving the autofill experience, detecting credential risks, and protecting against phishing attacks
- The team is located in France, with most members in the Paris office
- You will work closely with your product triad (your product manager and product designer partners) and actively collaborate with other engineering managers to align on project execution and share management best practices
- You will be based in Paris, with English as your working language
- Build a strong ownership and accountability culture within your team, as the business and product complexity grow at a rapid pace
- Help your direct reports grow and develop as managers, leaders, engineers, and teammates
- Recruit new software engineers, and participate in Dashlane’s effort to be visible in the tech community in Paris
- Support your team and make them autonomous by giving them all the appropriate tools they need to deliver without friction
- Lead managerial initiatives to improve our current systems and processes in support of the company’s mission
- Deliver Engineering strategy goals and actively contribute to shaping roadmaps and technical initiatives, including refinement sessions, ADRs, and other technical documents
- Work closely with product and business stakeholders to deliver on our Product Roadmap
- Help define the direction of the Product Experience teams to improve the stability, security, and quality of the Dashlane product
- Work with passionate teams of engineers, product managers, testers, customer support agents, and others in a friendly and multicultural environment

With 15+ million users from over 20,000 businesses across 200 countries currently using its software, the company continuously scans over 20 billion hack/breach records each day.
The company faces stiff competition from the likes of LastPass, 1Password, and Bitwarden. To stay price competitive in the market, Dashlane launched a reduced plan with the essential features and in 2023, launched the Dashlane Confidential SSO (Single Sign-On), further differentiating itself from its competitors. They also have innovative tools and a user-friendly interface which will help it stand out from the crowd.
