Role
Who you are
- You have at least 5+ years of experience as a backend software engineer
- You have proven experience in building complex systems using Node.js/Typescript
- Proficient with Docker and have good knowledge of system integrations and Linux environment
- Monitoring, logging, and alerting are a normal part of the development process for you
- Experience in Message Queues and Sockets is a big plus (RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ, Socket.io, web sockets)
- Have a hands-on/DevOps mentality when it comes to facing new challenges
- Pro-active team player that can work with local and remote team members
- You are well-organized and have a structured approach to challenges
- Enjoy good communication skills
- Curious about understanding technologies in depth
What the job involves
- Build system-level services that run on an In-Flight Entertainment system
- Build, package, and deploy services in and off a cloud-based environment
- Construct and manage CI/CD pipelines for services (Kubernetes, Gitlab CI, Terraform)
- Take part in rolling out new software updates on the physical test rack that is used as a benchmark for the aircraft setup
- Work together with team members and product owners to analyze user stories and break them down into tasks to work on
- Use different protocols and standards for communication between different components (HTTP, TCP, AMQP, JSON RPC)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a world-class IFE ecosystem
- Research and experiment with the team on the latest technologies to evaluate possible usages
