Role
Who you are
- Deep Expertise in AWS, Microsoft Azure services, and/or GCP ecosystem and operations
- Strong general understanding of Cloud operating models and how they differ from On-prem operating models
- Experience in migrating workloads from On-premise into the cloud
- Knowledge of the storage aspect of Cloud workflows and the challenges associated with moving large volumes of data into the public cloud
- Experience with Hybrid operating models that leverage the public cloud for some of an overall workflow
- Knowledge of DevOps procedures
- Hands-on capabilities
- HPC Storage and/or Software Defined Enterprise NAS Platforms
- Experience in one of WEKA’s Vertical focus areas: Autopilot / ADAS, Healthcare and Life Sciences (Genomics Sequencing, Cryo-EM), Cloud-based Media and Entertainment workflows, Finance, Time Series Databases, Quant Trading, and Research Workflows, M&E, AI and ML Ops, Containerized Workflows
- Experience working with customers in a consulting or pre-sales capacity
- Past or present Linux administration experience
What the job involves
- As a Cloud SME, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our sales efforts by providing expert guidance and technical support to our sales team and customers
- You will leverage your in-depth understanding of Cloud technologies, services, and solutions to deliver compelling product demonstrations, assist with pre-sales activities, and serve as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders
- Field Support: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for our field sales teams and WEKA customers. This includes Cloud Operating models, the challenges associated with moving workloads to the cloud, the details and demands of cloud bursting a workflow from on-prem into the public cloud, and the nuances of different public cloud offerings and how they compare. A key part of this role will be strategizing with field sales teams on how to approach cloud opportunities best
- Evangelism of WEKA in the Public Cloud. WEKA Provides a unique software-only design that can run in the public cloud using the same binaries you would run on-prem. This enables unique hybrid workflows that are highly differentiated from existing storage platforms. Serving as a champion for WEKA in the public cloud at events and conferences
- Consolidating Feedback: Providing critical feedback from the field and customers to our product teams. You will also be uniquely positioned to collect, distill and provide feedback into the WEKA product and Go To Market teams around requirements to further compete in cloud markets based on real customer and field team feedback
