Director of Event Content Strategy, Salesforce

• 8+ years of event content experience in a fast-paced, highly-matrixed environment
• Experience running an impactful team and elevating the individuals of that team to do their greatest work
• Experience implementing and supporting large-scale event content programs across Salesforce buyer personas and products
• Experience with digital, hybrid, and in-person events
• Proven track record driving cross-functional collaboration across diverse sets of partners
• Outstanding project and time management skills - highly organized, detailed focused, and accountable
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively influence Senior executives, vendors, and team members at all skill levels of the organization
• Data-driven mentality and ability to tell a story through presentations
• Self-starter, highly motivated, and problem solver who loves to come up with innovative solutions
• Experience managing third-party vendors, contractors, and budgets
• Creative and innovative thinking with a willingness to try new things, iterate and learn
• Ability to travel as needed

Desirable

• Responsible for the end-to-end content programming for all Salesforce events led by the Strategic Events team, including Dreamforce, World Tours, TrailblazerDX, Tableau Conference and Connections
• Partner with Senior leadership and functional leaders to define and prioritize product, solution, and core learning goals and is responsible for translating strategy to an end-to-end operational program
• Establish the event content strategy for each event program, including evaluating industry and company educational and marketing goals, and identifying new content opportunities. This strategy will apply to in-person as well as digital experiences through Salesforce+
• Drive success of all Salesforce large-scale event content programs through innovation, organization, and cross-collaboration with internal and external (vendor) partners
• Lead all aspects of Salesforce’s event content strategy, including conceptualization, planning, documentation, and execution
• Lead content execution team across aspects of Salesforce’s event operations processes, including internal and external technology integrations, and technical vendor relationships. This spans across in-person, website and mobile technologies
• Drive innovation within event content strategy in response to industry trends, customer profiles, and business needs
• Drive continuous improvement of processes aligned to the changing needs of the business
• Lead all content operations budget items and expenses, including vendor contracts, in compliance with event and program tracking tools and strategies
• Maintain and analyze metrics critical to the success of the content program goals, such as session and speaker scores, and capacity targets
• Translate attendee feedback in partnership with Senior partners to ensure prioritization and planning occurs
• Lead a successful Event Content strategy and operations team in prioritizing and assigning responsibilities, providing support, and resolving critical issues
