Role
Who you are
- 5+ years experience working as a partner manager, demonstrating an ability to work with an existing partner network, and leading partners to success
- Experience partnering & navigating hyperscaler / platform partner sales and marketing organizations for mutual success
- A proven ability to hit and over exceed pipeline/revenue quotas through partners
- A well-developed, commercial mindset and grasp the importance of pipeline generation
- Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills to interact with multiple levels and teams within dbt
- Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment with integrity and accountability
- A passion for being a inclusive, collaborative teammate and involved member of the community
Desirable
- Demonstrated success in a role related to sales or alliances at a technology company or start-up
- The ability to express a clear baseline strategy for growth and support of your partner portfolio, as well as the flexibility to change as conditions evolve on the ground
- Demonstrated expertise in data analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open-source software
What the job involves
- We’re currently seeking a new partner manager to join our ranks, who can work with our partner ecosystem to aid us in our mission to empower data practitioners
- Build productive North American sales relationships with AWS and Snowflake
- Drive sales enablement and engagement with AWS, Snowflake & dbtLabs sellers to exceed ARR and Consumption goals
- Drive joint sales & marketing plays to generate pipeline and closed revenue for dbt labs
- Drive product / specialty / industry based sales plays to accelerate pipeline generation
- Collaborate internally at dbtLabs with product, sales, and marketing functions to accelerate revenue impact for dbt and each partners

Our take
In 2018, dbt Labs founder Tristan Handy was running an analytics company and created a data build tool (or ‘dbt’) to help transform data for analysis. Fast forward one year and dbt Labs was born, offering its tools to help companies everywhere transform their data workflows.
Raw data comes in myriad forms and dbt Labs’ software allows data specialists to manage the data transformation layer making its use for analysis much easier. It offers consulting services on top of the software, and has ridden a wave of companies embracing digital transformation more as their services and workplaces become more online.
Seen as the defacto standard for modern analytics engineering by many, it reached unicorn status within 2 years of launch and is focusing future efforts on expanding reach more markets outside of the US. Its recent acquisition of Transform, an analytics engineering company, will aid in further developing its product's data transformation capabilities.
