Role
Who you are
- 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3+ years at a B2B SaaS company (enterprise software experience a plus)
- Experience leveraging complex technology to create delightful product solutions and leveraging AI/ML to drive insights and recommendations
- Experience working on zero-to-one products, or leading experiment-based concepts and prototyping quickly to validate ideas before development
- Experience collaborating closely with engineering, AI/ML and design teams end-to-end to drive business impact
- Strong communication skills that foster cross-team collaboration and ensure alignment on key outcomes and objectives
- Deep understanding and empathy for users
- Deep interest in how technology can unlock the power of professional networks and transform private capital investing, with enthusiasm for Affinity's mission
What the job involves
- As a Principal Product Manager for Relationship Intelligence, you'll lead one of our most strategically important product domains - the relationship intelligence engine that powers Affinity's CRM and operating platform for private capital
- You'll own the vision and execution for how we map, analyze, and surface relationship insights to support core customer use cases. This includes ownership of unique and complex solutions for both explicit and implicit relationship mapping, leveraging AI and both public and proprietary data sets
- In this role, you will own the product roadmap and be responsible for measuring customer and business impact
- You will partner with cross-functional teams to conduct research, run experiments, lead teams through design and engineering sprints, define success metrics, measure impact and ultimately ship solutions with the biggest impact on user outcomes
- Revolutionize how dealmakers leverage their networks and invest capital
- Work with complex problems, large proprietary data sets, and AI tools to map the network graph of investors and startups
- Develop and evangelize the product vision and strategy for relationship intelligence across multiple products
- Conduct market research on the relationships that impact how capital flows into next generation companies, prioritizing differentiating solutions and “wow!” capabilities to unlock those networks
- Partner closely with a top decile design and engineering team, leading discovery, definition, design and delivery plans to drive your roadmap and business outcomes
Our take
Up to 90% of company profiles in traditional customer relationship management systems (CRMs) are incomplete or out-of-date, causing missed sales opportunities and wasted time. Affinity exists to change this state of affairs, using AI to analyse a company's communications and interactions to provide the most accurate profile possible, powering sales and excellent customer relationships.
While other modern CRMs exist, few of them are able to automate data input on the scale of Affinity, which has processed around 20 trillion emails and hundreds of thousands of calendar events to date. It also focuses on industries that are underserved in the CRM sector, including investment banking and real estate. This has grown it a client base of more than 1,800 customers including major enterprises such as Bain Capital Ventures, Nike and Twilio.
Affinity is focusing on expanding its sales, marketing, and engineering teams to grow its customer base and develop new products. As companies look to both improve the performance of their sales teams and reduce costs in manual data entry, Affinity's product is likely to remain extremely popular.
