Yearly EU bank payments total a value in the trillions, and yet the technology infrastructure processing these payments is often massively outdated - based on practices developed as far back as the seventies. That’s the opportunity that Numeral’s founders are going after.
Numeral's payment automation API lets tech companies connect to its bank account to automate payment operations. The company's target clients include fintech, insurtech, and real estate companies similar to their initial clients Spendesk and Swile.
The startup has an impressive ambition which aligns to its global customer-base who are banking in multiple countries, with its greatest challenge likely being to scale effectively. Its launch in the UK, however, has gone some way to prove it can handle growth, now integrating with UK banks SVB UK, Barclays, and HSBC.
