Our take

Chatbots have been around for quite some time and have seen a few iterations over the decades as the technology evolved. As with all software, chatbots require heavy coding which is costly, time consuming and can only be executed by professionals. There was also a huge gap between user expectations and reality.

Landbot had the idea to create a drag-and-drop style bot-builder that doesn’t require coding to support custom conversation flows. This quickly proved to be popular with customers, and the company have grown exponentially, being trusted by more than 12,000 leading businesses including Coca-Cola, Nestle and Prudential.

In 2021 Landbot acquired Morph.AI, a chat-based marketing automation tool based in India. This should help its plans to expand into the Asian market, as the company aims to fight off competition from players like ManyChat.
