Role

Who you are

  • 5-8+ years experience in cybersecurity sales or pre-sales, preferably in the managed services or XDR space
  • Proven success working with MSPs or channel partners, with strong understanding of the MSP business model and security services landscape
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally across sales, channel, product, and marketing teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with cybersecurity solutions across endpoint, email, cloud, and network security is a plus

What the job involves

  • As an Account Executive - XDR Specialist, you’ll play a key role in enabling our Account Executives, Channel Managers, and Partner Development Managers to effectively position and sell our Managed XDR services, spanning Endpoint, Cloud, Network, Email, and Server Monitoring.
  • You’ll act as a subject matter expert, guiding partners through the sales process and helping them understand how Barracuda’s XDR platform enhances their cybersecurity posture
  • Work alongside Account Executives, Channel Managers, and Partner Development Managers to identify and drive XDR sales opportunities across both new and existing partners & customers
  • Act as a trusted advisor to partners, helping them understand the value of Barracuda’s full XDR platform, including Endpoint, Cloud, Email, Network, and Server Monitoring services
  • Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and technical guidance to partners and prospects to support the sales process
  • Develop and execute targeted sales plays and cross-sell campaigns to expand XDR adoption within existing partners
  • Manage your monthly pipeline focusing your efforts around the complex and highly competitive opportunities while exceeding your monthly quota
  • Track partner engagement, sales progress, and pipeline development, sharing insights and feedback to help continuously improve our approach
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging threats to ensure Barracuda’s XDR platform remains relevant and competitive

Our take

In an increasingly online world, with email hacks and data leaks becoming more and more common, cyber security is more important than ever. Barracuda aims to provide this with its comprehensive suite of security software.

It offers a number of packages, focusing on email security, app and cloud protection, network security and data protection to provide end-to-end coverage for its customers' IT operations. It invests heavily in R&D and product development to keep on top of new (and increasingly prevalent) email phishing scams, as well as incorporated XDR capabilities to close security gaps generated by the rise in hybrid and remote working.

Barracuda is an established player within the cyber security market with over 200,000 enterprise customers including brands like Shiseido, Carrefour and Accor. It was acquired in 2022 by KKR, a global investment firm, and is using the investment of capital to further improve its product, grow its team and expand its marketing reach.
