Who you are
- Experience as a data product manager working with large volumes of data at scale
- Exceptional communication and influence skills with the ability to work with cross functional stakeholders across the organization
- Deep domain knowledge in data modeling, database design, and data lakehouse architectures with the capability to drive technical decisions with engineering colleagues
- Strong analytical and data driven decision making skills
- Knowledge and hands-on SQL experience
- A demonstrated track record of delivering results through shipping products
What the job involves
- We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our Data & Services Product team
- As a Data PM you will be responsible for finding ways to leverage data throughout the entire product lifecycle to improve our advertising solutions
- You will be responsible for balancing the strategy, governance, and implementation of anything data-related, as well as facilitating conversations between relevant stakeholders (executives, engineers, analysts, product teams, and data consumers)
- This role is part of our central data team which is responsible for data flow and business logic across the organization - from the production of raw data through consumption by Reporting and ML stakeholders
- You will sit at the center of some of Unity’s most critical initiatives and have a chance to make a lasting impact across our business
- Define data flow from data generation or ingestion, through transformation and storage, to consumption for machine-learning models or analysis
- Work to deeply understand the data needs of internal customers and collaborate with engineering on the best ways to execute on those requirements
- Define and articulate a clear vision and strategy for the data products you manage, aligning with Unity’s overall objectives
- Translate complex requirements of large data initiatives into clear actionable items
- Prioritize data initiatives across a wide range of internal stakeholders
- Lead and motivate a cross functional team of engineers and analysts
