Role
Who you are
- This role requires understanding of cloud infrastructure partnerships (AWS, GCP) and DevOps platform solutions
- Proven experience leading sales teams in SaaS or technology sales environments
- Proven track record selling B2B technology solutions to technical buyers and C-level executives
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure partners (AWS, GCP) and understanding of DevOps and platform solutions
- Consistent achievement of quota and strategic objectives in technology sales environments
- Success selling products in emerging or rapidly evolving technology categories where market education is required
- Post-secondary degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred
- Cultivating a results-driven culture that prioritizes success and consistently surpasses revenue and productivity goals
- Working with major cloud infrastructure partners (AWS, Google Cloud Platform) to drive joint sales opportunities and leverage partner relationships for revenue growth
- Coaching Account Executives on effective prospecting techniques, lead qualification, and pipeline creation to ensure consistent deal flow and revenue predictability
- Articulating and implementing clear expectations for revenue-focused activities while collaborating with marketing to enhance lead generation efforts and in-market events
- Designing and establishing repeatable processes and structure for the Commercial Sales team that align with strategic growth objectives
- Mentoring teams on sales strategies, pipeline management, opportunity handling, and career planning to drive individual and team performance
- Proactively analyzing sales metrics, forecasts, call volumes, and individual pipelines to identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement
- Serving as a hands-on leader who actively participates in strategic sales cycles, bringing in senior leadership and strategic support for significant deals
What the job involves
- DuploCloud is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced front line Sales Manager to join our rapidly expanding sales team
- In this pivotal role, you will lead and develop a team of 6-8 Account Executives (AEs) while driving technical sales in the cloud infrastructure space
- As a Sales Manager at DuploCloud, you will adopt a "player coach" approach, combining strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in sales cycles
Our take
DuploCloud was created in response to what its founder called a “technical inequity in the cloud development space", having discovered a lack in automation techniques while working on Microsoft Azure's cloud software. In short, it was founded to address the lack of diversity in built-for-purpose tools for the cloud infrastructure provision space.
The company's suite of products includes automated provisioning, compliance services, and integration tools for more than 500 cloud services. Working with both startups and hypergrowth companies, the aim is to help companies manage their cloud services without having to build their own automation tools or rely on impersonal cloud giants like Microsoft and AWS.
Its target market then are companies that want scalable cloud provision tools that would otherwise cost millions to build and maintain. The company is clearly on to something, as it boasts an annual recurring revenue that grew 700% between 2021 and 2023. It has also successfully raised $32 million in Series B funding, which exemplifies the demand for its market gap-bridging product.
